Rowing tour Overview
Rowing in the most beautiful coasts in the world! Sicily is known for the sea, the fantastic beaches and its all-year-round mild climate.
The West-Tour starts from Palermo, which has been for centuries the crossroads of the most ancient people and cultures. You will experience a perfect mix of sport, tourism, and culture crossing the coasts of western Sicily which you will never forget!

rOWING TOUR ITINERARY
Arrival in Palermo, where a shuttle will pick you up and take you to the beach in Mondello to check the boats and all of the gear.
Afterwards, you will head to the hotel, where you will have a few hours to rest.
At 7.30 pm you will go to the wonderful Club TeLiMar for an aperitivo (which are drinks, typically alcoholic, which are served before dinner together with some chips) and dinner with lounge music before the sunset.
At 9.00 pm there will be a Palermo by-night tour with an estimated return to the hotel at 10.30pm.
9.00 am at Mondello beach to tackle the first part of the trip. We will row 15 km to Isola delle Femmine. Then, we will eat a packed lunch and take a break with a swim at the Capo Gallo reserve, the Grotta dell’Olio, and the coral bay.
Once at destination, you will check-in at the hotel and then we will meet at 8.00 pm at “Ristorante Fresco”, where you will enjoy an excellent local fish and some very good Sicilian street food tastings.
9.00 am departure from the hotel. We will row for 25 km to Terrasini, where we will eat a packed lunch and have a break with a swim in Marinalonga and the Tonnara dell’Orsa.
Once at destination, you will check-in at the hotel and then we will meet at “Basilicò” at 8.00 pm where you will taste a fantastic pizza!
9.00 am departure from the hotel. We will row 26 km to Castellamare del Golfo, where we will eat a packed lunch and have a break in Trappeto and Alcamo marina, which is a famous area known for the excellent “Bianco d’Alcamo” wine.
Once at destination, we will go to the hotel and then have dinner at “Tavernetta” and admire a breathtaking view.
9.00 am departure from the hotel. We will row for 12 km and then enjoy one of the most evocative places in Western Sicily, the Faraglioni of the Tonnara di Scopello.
Be prepared to taste the most wonderful “pane cunzatu” and many other delicacies of the place offered by Travel Row (excluding drinks)!
9.00 am departure from the hotel. This stage includes 20 km. We will cross the Zingaro reserve, which has crystal clear water, to arrive to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, San Vito lo Capo.
Right after, we will have lunch and then check-in at the hotel.
Dinner is scheduled at “Taverna Paradiso” at 8.00 pm where you will have the opportunity to taste the best Cous Cous in the Mediterranean.
9.00 am breakfast on the beach with a wonderful granita and hot brioche. After a short swim and finished packing, we will take you on an excursion to Mount Erice, where, if you want, you can have lunch at the renowned restaurant “Archi di San Carlo”.
Afterwards, we will head to the Airport (Palermo) by shuttle just in time for your flight.

Boats
The boats we will be using are “Filippi boats” and they are a leader in the world of high-level rowing. In the recent years, they have also specialized on Coastal hulls with very high technological content and with innovative design to be as fast and stable on the waves as possible.
Support in the water
During the tour, a professional coach will be present, with a tender for technical support and for safety.
Participants
We offer trips from a minimum of 10 people.
Essential clothing to bring for outings
Sunscreen, tank top bodysuits and swimsuit, cap with a visor, “hand-saving” gloves for those who are not extremely trained.

He has participated in 4 Olympic games receiving a silver medal in 2000 in the coxless four in Sydney as well as two gold and bronze medals at the World Championships.
