Rowing tour Overview
Travel through the best coastlines in the world. Sicily is known for its sea, the beautiful beaches and for the mild climate which persists all year long.
The Mondello Beach tour starts from Palermo, which has been for centuries the melting pot of the oldest populations and cultures.
You will live a perfect mix of sport, tourism, and culture, going through Sicilian occidental coasts which you will never forget!

rOWING TOUR ITINERARY
Arrival in Palermo where a shuttle will take you to the hotel. As soon as you arrive to the hotel, you will check-in and then we will take a boat trip from the Mondello beach to the Capo Gallo reserve where you will have the opportunity to swim in the fascinating Grotta dell’Olio.
Once back at the hotel, you will have a few hours to rest. At 7.30 pm we will go to the wonderful TeLiMar Nautical Club for an aperitivo (which are drinks, typically alcoholic, which are served before dinner together with some chips) and dinner with lounge music at sunset.
At 9pm there will be a Palermo by-night tour with an estimated return to the hotel at 10.30pm
Departure by boat at 10.00 am from the beach of Mondello with destination Sferracavallo (about 12 km).
Once we arrive at destination (around 12.30 pm / 1.00 pm) we will have a lunch based on fresh fish. After, we will go back to Mondello by boat (12 Km) at around 4 pm, thereby arriving at the hotel at around 6.30 pm.
Dinner will be at 8.30 pm in Palermo at the Osteria “Mangia e Bevi” where you will taste the delicacies of the Sicilian food such as panelle, aubergine caponata, sardines Beccafico and other dishes with a wonderful taste, all accompanied by excellent wine.
After dinner, there will be a walk to admire the beauties of the historic center of Palermo, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Departure by boat at 9.30 am from Mondello beach towards Addaura (6 Km). You will have the opportunity to swim in the Acapulco.
At around 12 pm we will return (6 Km) to the hotel and you will have time for a quick shower before going to lunch at the square in Mondello at “Calogero” restaurant.
After lunch, a shuttle will take you to have a good coffee in Monreale, where you will admire the famous cathedral and a wonderful view of Palermo.
At around 5.30 pm the shuttle will take you to the airport to catch your flight.

Boats
The boats we will be using are “Filippi boats” and they are a leader in the world of high-level rowing. In the recent years, they have also specialized on Coastal hulls with very high technological content and with innovative design to be as fast and stable on the waves as possible.
Support in the water
During the tour, a professional coach will be present, with a tender for technical support and for safety.
Participants
We offer trips from a minimum 10 people;
Essential clothing to bring for outings
Sunscreen, tank top bodysuits and swimsuit, cap with a visor, “hand-saving” gloves for those who are not extremely trained.
Cost
The price of the package mentioned above includes: food, accommodation, boat rental, shuttle service to and from the airport, technical support and safety in the water, Sport Travel Row Kit and insurance.

He has participated in 4 Olympic games receiving a silver medal in 2000 in the coxless four in Sydney as well as two gold and bronze medals at the World Championships.
He decided together with Marco Costantini in 2021 to found TravelRow with the desire to make people discover the world on the rowing boat. Co-founder Fitrow
